With whom we should stay?

If you find someone who is not trusting you, please leave the person very politely or keep a distance with that person as the person will never be helpful for you. Rather the person may cause your harm.

Stay with some one who cares you, trust you even the number is only one.

Who will harm you most?

Normally you will be benefitted most from your nearest and dearest one. At the same time, you will be also hurt most by the same group. So it is your luck which one you will face.

But if someone cares you really, he/she will never hurt you at all. Rather he/she will be always with you when you are in need.

You may have many brothers, sisters, spouse, friends, children etc but it does not matter. Matter is whether they care you or not?

So whenever you get someone who cares you, trust you, please follow the person, stay with the person even the number is only one, even the person is not your relative.

Staying with a good person is the best thing and best strategy even though the person is poor and less educated.

Social security number

Today we have received social security number which should be kept secret as per advice so that no one can use it (I heard so). So we are doing so. So I have started American life officially from now on.

I am enjoying the country and would like to know about the country. So I am walking in the streets, taking train rides and talking people around.

Today is hot in Richardson and I am taking tea and writing this diary. I am thinking about you, Orchona.

Richardson Library in Dallas County

I moved to another sister in laws house in Richardson probably it was Cavalier Drive. We have planned to stay here for few days. Since I am unemployed at this moment, would like to see around. So would like to walk around so that I can see better.

Although summer is about to begin and temp is high, I started an walk in the streets targeting Richardson library from Cavalier Road. It took around one and half hour to reach Richardson library in the sunny weather.

The library is a medium one probably government owned. In USA, every city got one library. Mostly old and retired people go there to spend time.

At 4PM I availed DART system bus so that I can go to railway. This time I used Red Line Train System to go to Parkar Road. I went to Parker Road, Plano etc. Finally I got down in Springvalley station. From there I took bus no 463 (bound to Addison) so that I can come to Coit and Springvalley junction. From their Caviler Drive is just beside of it where I was staying temporarily.

When I entered into the house it was already 6.30pm but still it was a sunny weather as the sun sets in Dallas county at 8.30 PM. Day is very long here while night is short.

Garland to Richardson

Today I had a long walk from Garland to Richardson to see my house in Richardson. Unfortunately I could not locate my newly rented house. So I came back home at Garland.

I started my walk at 7PM and came back at 10pm so there was a three hours walk in the street.

I saw no company while walking. Everyone uses car to go anywhere.

Buckingham to Ledbetter

Yesterday I had a walk from Buckingham (Woodpark drive, Garland) to Garland downtown to get the train line so that I can go around. It was almost two hours walk in the sunlight. I saw green trees, small houses and Baylor medical center on my way. I also found a post office just before the Garland downtown.

I bought a city map from Buckingham petrol station so that I can walk properly. Whenever I go to any new city I buy city map so that I know where I am going.

I walked as I wanted to see the sorroundings although DART bus system was there to carry me to Garland downtown rail station.

I see there are three types of train line such as blue, red and green. I availed blue line which goes to Ledbetter, the last stoppage of blue line train service. It took one hour from Garland downtown to Ledbetter by train. The train passed by Dallas downtown.

I bought the ticket from the machine.

Today we went to Roma Palace (a resturant) in Richardson area to take launch. It was buffet, charged us USD 5 per person. We took as much as we can. The foods were very nice ranging from rice, chicken, biriyana, nun, sweat, tondur etc.

Maria took Nun and ate it eagerly.

Econometrician

A university in Dallas is looking for an Econometrician. Yes it is my area and I would like to apply for it.But I need a house to set my computer and other equipments so that I can apply for it.

I am looking for a house in Garland or Richardson area in Dallas so that I can bring Maria easily to school which is in Garland area.

In Dallas, I am getting many helps from my relatives especially in looking for a house, car, schooling, groceries etc in Dallas. My in laws are active in this regard.

Social Security

Yesterday I applied for social sucurity number. It took only twenty minutes for application. The officer recorded everything on line.

This country is full of migrants ranging from Latina American, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Indian, European etc. They accept foreigner and allow them to stay as migrants.

As long as you know the work and have skill, you are welcome to job market irrespective of your race, color, religion etc.

Fire camp

Yesterday we went to a place from Garland (a town in Dallas) for fire camping. We did not stay there but walked around. It was a nice place sorrounded by green trees and wide lake.

We took our maghrib prayer there and came back to Garland. On the way back we took dinner in a Pakistani restaurant.

We crossed few towns to reach fire camping area such as Dentont, Carrylton, Irving etc.

Although it is spring in Dallas, we felt cold so had to use some light jackets. We felt cold as I guess we are from a hot country like Malaysia.

Native people did wear only normal shirts.....

Maria's School

Maria got admission in Florence Parson Pre-Kindergarten School in Garland, Dallas this afternoon which is run under local government. Her school will be starting from August.

We are looking for a house close to Maria's school. Already we have seen few and in next few days we will choose one. 1200 square feet having three bed rooms apartment asking for USD 1K in Dallas area.

We are getting many helps from in laws in Dallas and thanks to them very much.

Maria needs another four vaccine before getting enrollment. Coming monday we will bring her for vaccination.

A candidate should have all vaccine before getting enrollment in a school.

Staff of the school behaved very nicely with us. They replied all our queries very passionately. I see people are very professional here even a cleaner. They do not say, please come tomorrow. They get the work done immediately.

See the pictures of Maria Ferdousi Hossain

Second Day in Dallas

Wake up 7 am morning from bed. Komol and Maria are still sleeping. I remove the screen of the window and see a cattle range blessed with green grasses and trees.

The sky is little bit cloudy. Weather forecast suggests about a shower today. In USA, weather forecast is very reliable. You can depend and plan on weather forecast.

Finally Dallas

Finally reached Dallas after almost 36 hours journey from Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by Komol and Maria. Delta Airlines got spacious aircraft, allowed us to seat properly. It was a non smoking flight.

First we reached at Changi Airport in Singapore to spent night. Later on, we started again to Narita that took almost 6 hours. From Narita, it took another 14 hours to Minneapolis and from Manneapolis, another two hours were needed to reach Dallas.

We crossed pacific ocean, Alaska and part of Canada to reach Minneapolis. We are passing over hilly green mountains whenever we were crossing Canada.

There had been wonderful trip this time as I could sleep properly in the aircraft, also had plenty of foods. We requested Muslim food.

In Dallas we received a warm welcome. Thanks to all.

Right now there is spring in Dallas, neither cold nor hot. We are using light dresses but temperature slightly gets down at night (as I feel so).

As a city, Dallas is a spacious one, less traffic, less inhabitants also (I guess so as I see few heads around). Traffic signals and management differs slightly from Malaysia. One new things is 'Yield' in the traffic system which I did not see in Malaysia. I will talk about Yield later whenever I have some spaces.

I see lots of Oak tress and cattle rearing farm. Dallas has diversified economy ranging from finance, business, IT and agriculture.

Some of the streets name such as Jupiter (Zeus), Apollo indicates that Greek Gods might have influence on this area although Jupiter temple was not found.

I reached Dallas two days ago and will continue to write about it.

Maria is enjoying very much in Dallas. Thanks to Allah for all His support.

Some one

Whenever I look around, I see some one smiling at me. I do no know whether it is a human or alien. Whatever it is, it gives me huge pleasure whenever I see the alien.

It may be alien but hard to explain what I see around me

Dear Orchona

Dear Orchona, I am leaving Malaysia after seventeen years. Initially I spent my time in Bangi area as National University of Malaysia is there. Later I joined Multimedia University in 1998 at Melaka campus. Afterwards I migrate to Cyberjaya campus of Multimedia University. Since then I am in Cyberjaya campus sorrounded by green trees and hilly slopes.

My apartment no is 2002, Upsilon Pangsapuri, Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. My apartment is located beside the large water tank and eastern part of the building. So I am the first person to see the sun-rise.

If you ever been to Malaysia, do not forget to visit Multimedia University.

The nicest part of Cyberjaya campus is its sun-shine and hilly slopes sorrounded by green trees. You can easily see Putrajaya, Administrative Capital of Malaysia from my apartment.

Leaving Malaysia after sixteen years

I came to Malaysia as a PhD student in National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1993 but now I am leaving Malaysia after sixteen years. I spent a significant part of my life in Malaysia. Malaysia has become my second home. I owe to this country, I love this country.

How are you?

I start my diary by writing "How are you today"?
