Deep Jele Jai - A Bengali Film

Just downloaded the bengali film Deep Jele Jai on line. I saw this film many years ago and yesterday I saw it again. It is an excellent movie by Shuchitra Sen. Just go to Google and find the free downloading.

It is a story of a hospital nurse who serves a mental patient to give light into his heart so that the patient can be recovered. The nurse was asked to act as a lover of the mental patient as a part of therapy. Finally, the patient gets recovered and releases from the hospital after all those therapies. But the nurse, who was supposed to act as lover, falls in love with the patient in reality. As soon as the patient walks away from hospital, the nurse becomes mentally ill and got admitted into the same hospital as a mental patient. The name of the nurse was Radha

The famous songs are:
1. Ei raat tomar amar ...
2. Tomar moton sister ...

If you have time, you can download it. Just type Deep Jele Jai  in Google search box. You will see two film, one got English subtitle and other do not have.

Here, Deep means light or candle, Jele Jai means I am lightening. So the name of the film  I am lightening candle

Here, the nurse Radha lightening the candle in the hearts of the mental patients. As a result, patients get recovered from mental distress but at the cost of Radha's agony.

The film reminds me about Florence Nightingale, a favorite personality of mine. Florence Nightingale was a nurse, served war injured patients in a hospital. At night, she used to visit her patients with a lamp and that is why she is known as The lady with the Lamp

I am gradually making a website of Florence Nightingale and will be releasing in future

My personal blog 'Sayed Hossain Diary' has entered 1k visitors

Happy to see that my personal blog 'Sayed Hossain Diary' has entered into 1k visitors last week since its inception in May 2011. Thanks to those who have spent their valuable time on my personal diary.

It is appreciated always if you come up with comments so that I can know the right thing.

As I said before, I am not good at writing English so read my articles with caution. I have been advised to learn English and I am trying to upgrade my command over English. Thinking of taking a course on how to produce good English sentences.

Thank you once again.

Life is as usual. I am teaching this week how to calculate the total production, goods and services produced in the United States in one year time period

Dallas is under snow

For the last seven days, I am experiencing 'Snow Rain' in Dallas area. All the schools are closed for the last seven days. It is hard to drive in the streets due to slippy road condition so I am not driving. Life has been stagnant not only in Dallas but throughout United States.

Normally Dallas is not a snow prone area as it is located in the South. Snow gets heavier if you head to North, towards Canada.

I am sitting at home idle as all classes are temporarily canceled due to inclement weather. Komol has cooked a special Bangladeshi food 'Khichuri' while I have cooked 'Chicken'. So there had been wonderful days.

I am spending most of my time beside the window to see 'Snow Rain' as stuffs are falling from heaven. God has come down with Her beauty in which we are dwelling. Specially snow falls at night is extremely beautiful so I sleep beside the window to see the falling . Snow falls gradually while I enter into sleep and dream.

Sun is almost disappeared for the last seven days while snow storm is replacing the place. Temperature has dropped to 13 degree F in Dallas area. Maria went down into the snow to play. Weather Department has predicted that temperature would go up to 40 degree F on Monday meaning that sun is likely to appear. In USA, weather forecast is very reliable and normally we set our plan on the basis of forecast.

Since I am sitting at home, I have again edited the manuscript 'Abar Shei Britte' to get it published on March 17, 2011. Last time I failed to publish it on Jan 23 as planned. It is a story of  Rusha, a Bangladeshi immigrant residing in the US with her family.

You can see some pictures taken through my apartment window in Dallas.
