Today I have hired an driving instructor to drive two hours in Richardson area as US traffic system is little bit different from Malaysia, from where I have come.

Cars in USA are all left handed while it was right handed in Malaysia. So I need to practice

Purchase car

Yesterday I purchased an old car from a university student. It is Honda CRV, year 2000, mileage 165k. It costs me around USD 3800. In Richardson area where I live, car is an essential item as public transportation system is very poor here. You simply can not go anywhere without a car. Luckily I have three sister in laws are here. They are supporting us by providing rides.

All of my money that I brought from Malaysia is going to finish but still I do not have any job as US economy is facing recession now. I will have to do something before all my savings get finished. I am confident I will be able to overcome and can do something finally.

A letter to my friends in Malaysia

Dear All,

Salam bhai ra....

Hope so you are fine. Yes finally I have installed my computer in my small apartment which is located in Richardson town under Dallas County.

Richardson is a small town, gets calm and quite immediately sun gets set. It is a christian dominated city so we can see many churches around us but behind my apartment complex, there is a mosque where I can visit.

Job market is very tight now due to economic slowdown but still I am trying. I have already applied to many educational places together with a position in KFC (as I said before).

I do not know whether I will get job but efforts are there.

I do not have any car yet but needs it badly as public transportation system is poorly designed to encourage private vehicle ownership. However, I have three sister in laws around my places, so sometime we get vehicle support from them.

Good news is that Maria can talk everything and we face hardship now to answer all her queries. Suddenly there has been a resurrection.

So far we are enjoying American life due to fresh foods, green scenerious and calm and quiet environment.

Today is American Independence day, July 4, so we see lots of flugs and fireworks around..

A letter to my brothers and sisters

Dear All,

Finally I got my two bed room rented apartment in Dallas, very near to my in laws houses. Although it is a small one but we are enjoying it due to sceneic beauty sorrounded by the apartment.

We have started our family life in full swing. Looking for job here and there, probably I will be taking one near to my house temporarily which would be a low paid one, can support our subsistence.

Life so far settled and nice. Maria can talk now most of the things. There is a resurrection suddenly. She will be going to school from August.

US economy is still in recession but hope so recession will over soon. Some signs are sighting.

Happy to see that Tamanna, Sadman and Jheel are fine. Whenever Tamanna backs to USA, ask her to contact me. She is always welcome to my place.

There is just 11 hours time difference between Dallas and Bangladesh. If you call me at 8am from Dhaka, it would be 7 pm in Dallas in the same day. You can call me any time.

From USA it is not that easy to call as long as you do not put entry into system. So I am doing it now so that I can call you all.

Back in Bangladesh, my father in law is very sick, hospitalized in Square hospital.

We are fine alhamdulillah
